Her subconscious irritated herself. She’d rather invent her own dreams. She didn’t want to sleep and that made her sleepy all day long. These were no pangs of conscience. The fear she had for the passage of time was to blame for her wakefulness. When the insomnia attacked, her eyes saw things we couldn’t ever see. But these thing we can’t see, do they really exist? If they’d exist, would we see them? Or we can’t see them because we don’t believe in them? If we’d believe in them… could we see them? And if we saw them, would they then be real?

Su subconsciente la irritaba. Prefería inventarse sus propios sueños. No quería dormir y eso la dejaba somnolienta todo el día. No eran remordimientos, el miedo que le daba el paso del tiempo tenía la culpa de su vigilia. Cuando el insomnio atacaba, sus ojos veían cosas que nosotros no podríamos ver. Pero, esas cosas que no vemos ¿no existen? Si existiesen, ¿las veríamos? ¿O no las vemos porque no creemos que existan? Si creyésemos en ellas ¿las podríamos ver? Y si las viéramos ¿serían entonces reales?
